eLearning: Schoology
The Delaware Department of Education uses the Schoology Learning Management System to deliver online professional learning and trainings through eLearning Delaware (eLDE) to approximately 14,000 Delaware educators. In addition, 30 districts/charters covering 179 schools with over 108,000 students use Schoology to provide online and blended learning opportunities to their K-12 students.
Although it might sound like one system, eLearning Delaware and each district and charter use Schoology under the State of Delaware "umbrella." Educators have an account in eLDE and if an educator is also in a district/charter that is using Schoology with K-12 students, the educator will have another account through the school. Multiple accounts automatically link together so that educators can log in to the system once and toggle between their accounts.
There are multiple ways to access Schoology. For eLDE's online professional learning and trainings through PDMS, users can log in to EdAccess, click on the PDMS icon, and click on the title of the training in the My Courses area. Schoology will load and the training will appear. A Schoology icon is also provided in EdAccess so educators can go directly to Schoology without having to go to PDMS first. Each district and charter has a separate login method tailored to the district or charter.
