eLearning: Career and Technical Education (CTE)
eLearning Delaware offers a variety of facilitated and self-paced professional learning opportunities for educators via the Schoology Learning Management System. These courses lead to gains in content knowledge, improvements in teaching practices, and an increase in student achievement. Participants can also earn clock hours toward the 90-hour re-licensure requirement for Delaware educators upon successful completion of each course.

Self-Paced Courses in CTE
These courses are available online, and can be accessed any time, anywhere. You will receive three (3) clock hours for each course completed. Register in PDMS.
Literacy in CTE
Focuses on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for CTE. Literacy standards for grade 6 and above are predicated on teachers of CTE/technical subjects using their content area expertise to help students meet the particular challenges of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and language. This course provides an opportunity to understand the CCSS literacy standards in comparison to the ELA CCSS, with hands‐on activities, instructional practices, and resources that can be applied immediately in the classroom.

Speaking and Listening
This course will focus on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for Speaking and Listening across all content areas. Activities include information, strategies, and activities to help participants further enhance their understanding of the speaking and listening standards and incorporate these concepts into the classroom, increasing student engagement and collaboration.

Deeper Learning through Questioning and Discourse
The focus of this course is on using student collaboration and questioning strategies/techniques to engage students in deeper learning. During this course educators will link purposeful questions to student outcomes; explore and understand the various types of questions and their intended uses; understand how to intentionally plan higher order thinking questions; learn how to create a culture designed for meaningful student collaboration and discourse; and explore how to let students take the lead in classroom questioning and conversation.- Grades K-12: Course#26093
